“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Our mission at Cream City Home Buyers is to connect homeowners who need to sell a property for any reason with the best option for doing so. We buy directly and pay cash for houses, or we also offer other financing alternatives – depending on what makes sense for the owner and their situation. We bring years of experience to the table and have a unique ability to solve what are often very complicated real estate problems in as straightforward a manner as possible.
What do we do?
We buy houses. Ugly ones, messed up ones, larger ones and smaller ones, ones people don’t care about, ones that should be torn down, ones that are full of stuff, or, of course, the ones that people need to sell quickly and get away from for any reason at all.
How do we do it?
Well, we can pay cash to make things easy for everyone involved. And we can close quickly or slowly as the case may require.
What do we do with the houses?
With our partners, we collaboratively manage several hundred units in the Milwaukee metro area. This is a big part of our professional project: to provide clean, safe, and affordable housing to those in need. We see ourselves as community partners and deal with our properties very proactively. Though we buy all throughout the Milwaukee metro market and Waukesha county, the city of Milwaukee is in great need of investor capital and conscientious landlords. We work closely with the City and the Department of Neighborhood Services to maintain our properties and eliminate blighted properties throughout the city one house and situation at a time.
Starting in 2019, we’ve decided to donate 5% of our net profits to charities that are near and dear to us.
One of the community organizations we’ve selected for the year is Hope Street Ministry, a “Greenhouse for People” located at 26th St. and Capitol Dr. on Milwaukee’s north side.
While Hope Street started with a focus particularly on helping those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction, today it has evolved into a thriving community center that helps people from all backgrounds and walks of life, including children and the homeless. Hope Street is open to anyone who wants to begin the process of cleaning up their life and setting things in order.

The other organization we’ve chosen for the year is Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Long Island. For several years one of our partners has been involved as a Big Brother. Few things can be as impactful on a young person’s life as giving freely of your time and resources. Big Brother and Big Sisters of America make this a reality.
When my partner and I started this business we agreed on some very basic principles, because if you don’t have your own house in order you can’t very well help anyone nor be of much real use. We decided that in business and life we would do our best to:
Always be honest.
Never be greedy.
Always try to help.
Never take advantage.
Always play the long game.
In other words, our personal mission is something like trying to live like a person we’d respect, or trying to live forthrightly in the world and put things in order, as best we can.
